Music Ministry
Music serves the people of St. Thomas as we worship through the creative interaction between Liturgy and Music. Music invites us to worship, nurtures us, and enables us to be the Body of Christ in the world.
Our Adult Choir, Minor Miracles (Youth Choir), Bell Choir, and Instrumental Accompaniment provide the music of St. Thomas.

Le Grand Mélange du Juin
Le Grand Mélange du Juin — a grand blend of music every Friday in June at 6 PM. Four evenings. One magnificent season.
Join us on Friday, June 5, from 6 to 7 P.M for the first concert in the series. We are delighted to present: The Back Porch Jawbone & Guitar-Pull.
Join the familiar members of the St. Thomas Episcopal Church Sanctified Jubilee Yellow Dog Choir & Iced Tea Society as you’ve never heard them for an evening of roots, folk, blues and soul music. This is the music that touches us where we live; it grew up from the soil in field-song spirituals and mountain hymns, wandering from the Mississippi Delta to New Orleans, Detroit, and Chicago, and stormed the world as rock and roll. MC’d by James Lapeyre, his sister Merk, and his brother Bear. (Note: Beverages brought in mason jars should have a straw. Dogs are obliged to remain under the porch.)

Worship in Music
Discover the heart of Worship Through Music
Music is more than a beautiful addition to our worship—it is a sacred language that helps us pray, praise, and participate in the liturgy more fully. In the Episcopal tradition, music weaves together scripture, tradition, and the movement of the Spirit.
This booklet offers simple definitions and reflections on the role of music in our services—what we sing, why we sing it, and how it shapes our common prayer. Whether you're a lifelong chorister or simply curious, we invite you to explore how music deepens our connection with God and one another.
