Life at St. Thomas

The organizing structure of St. Thomas features eight commissions. We use commission language rather than committee language to remind ourselves that everything we do connects to the Great Commission given by Jesus in the Gospel of Matthew (28:19-20). Going into "all the world" to make disciples, baptize, and teach takes some organizing! Thus, each commission is charged with a specific aspect of the church. From welcoming new members to financial management every task before these commissions is infused with our desire to help those whom we encounter develop a relationship with Christ. Each commission includes 6-12 volunteers, a commission chair, and a vestry liaison.
