What does it mean to be an Episcopalian?
The Episcopal Church of the USA has an informative Visitors' Center.
But the best way to understand the Episcopal Church is to attend one, meet the people, and participate in the worship.
What does that word mean?
The Episcopal Church has some terms that are not familiar to most people, including most Episcopalians. The Episcopal Diocese of Texas has a very extensive Glossary that can help you find the meaning of almost any unfamiliar term.
What is a locum tenens?
Locum tenens is a Latin term that means "placeholder." In the Episcopal church, the priest who leads a parish is the Rector. At St. Thomas, we are in the process of searching for a new Rector. In the meantime, we are blessed to have the Rev. Lisa Hines holding that place for us and leading our parish.
