Serving, sharing, supporting and joining with others is our expression of family.
Serving One Another:
- Helping Hands. A ministry of simple kindness for St Thomas parishioners with specific needs: meals (during illness, hospitalization, recovering from surgery, new baby, death in family), and rides to local doctor appointments and church services.
- Daughters of the King. These women meet for prayers and, as a special ministry, host receptions for families and friends following funerals and memorial services at St. Thomas.
Sharing and Supporting One Another:
- Sunday Parish Breakfast. A hearty breakfast is prepared by our breakfast crew and enjoyed by all comers each Sunday morning immediately following the 8:00 am service until the start of Sunday School and Fr. Bill's lesson.
- Gathering Tree Fellowship. Following the 10:30 service, parishioners linger for a few minutes under the old and graceful oak tree in front of the church for relaxed conversations, a cool drink, and a cookie.
- Mature Adults. This long-standing group meets for lunch on the 2nd Friday of every month. People bring their own sack lunch, but drinks and dessert are provided. Mature is defined very broadly: no age limits are placed on participants.
- Families With Young Children. This very active group meets monthly on the 1st Friday evening for creative meals and activities. Nursery service is always provided.
Joining Together:
Annually, the entire St. Thomas family joins for a Spring Fling and Fall Fiesta. These catered picnics on the grounds include games, entertainment and fellowship for all.
Our annual Country Store provides opportunities for people to come together in a fun and ambitious project that raises money for church projects. The Country Store kicks off with Riverside Adventure, an evening of fun, food and entertainment for all.
