Season of Lent @ St. Thomas

The season of Lent is full of remarkable opportunities. This year at St. Thomas you will find ways to drink deeply from the well of faith both with your fellow parishioners and on your own. Our over-arching theme is "simplify".

In addition, there will be fund-raising opportunities to assist Calvary Episcopal Church, Bastrop, in their work to restore their community.

• Simple Wednesdays

    At home, each member of St. Thomas is invited to have a simple supper of soup and bread. Soup & take-home meditations will be available each Sunday.

    Table Talk Meditations are available for these Simple Suppers. These include actions to contribute to the Bastrop relief effort.

• Simplifying the Soul: Practices to Renew Your Spirit by Paula Huston. This book will be the focus for Adult Christian Formation, Sundays @ 9:40AM. Books available in the church office ($12)

• Young Adult Bible Study
  Thursdays (Feb 23, Mar 1, 8, 15 & 22) at Fuego's (108 Poplar, behind UHaul near Texas & University) @ 8:00PM. Join Rachel for discussion & tacos.

• Spring Break Outreach Day Camp — March 12-16
  Our week will include modified Morning Prayer, service projects at the Food Bank, Water Crest Assisted Living, & cleaning up one of the local parks. Our week will also include fun activities like Grand Station, ice skating & more! Cost is $30/person or $110/family of 4+. $5 of each registration will be donated to Bastrop Relief. Children 4th grade & younger will need to be accompanied by an adult.

Second Annual Women's Retreat — Feb 24-26

All women are invited to rest, reflect, and play in the beautiful wood of Forest Glen Retreat Center. The 2^nd annual St. Thomas Womens' Retreat is sure to be both fun and meaningful. Women of all ages will enjoy some structured program time as well as plenty of free time, and of course laughter and food!

Sign up now by contacting the Rev. Rhoda Montgomery. Cost is $125 for the entire two day retreat. $45 for Saturday program only. Registration and $10 deposit are due February 5.

2012 Adult Christian Formation — Sundays @ 9:40AM

Conversation Cafe will be in the Parish Hall every Sunday. Visit & chat with fellow parishioners, or join in the Adult Forum (see topics below).

Adult Forum will meet upstairs in the double classroom.

Opportunities for Prayer at St. Thomas

Bright blue prayer request cards are available in the church at any time. The cards are collected on Sundays. You may call the church office any time with prayer requests.

Kroger's Neighbor-to-Neighbor Program

St. Thomas is now a member of Kroger's Neighbor to Neighbor Program. Every time you shop at Kroger and use your enrolled KrogerPlus Card, Kroger will contribute a percentage of your eligible purchases to the Kroger Neighbor to Neighbor Donation fund.
